From August 27 to 31, Yerevan hosted the most anticipated event of the year in the world of backgammon — the debut International Tournament «Armenian Grand Prix 2025», organized by the International Backgammon Federation (IBF) with the support of the Backgammon Federation of Armenia.
The tournament was held at the Marriott Hotel Yerevan and brought together more than 150 participants from 16 countries, including Russia’s leading athletes — national champions and holders of the Russian Cup in recent years.
The prize fund amounted to 65,400 USD for the Backgammon disciplines and 22,240 USD for the Longgammon disciplines.
The vibrant closing ceremony was led by Tournament Director Arda Findikoglu. Congratulations were delivered by Tatiana Komarova, President of the International Backgammon Federation, Atsamaz Arsagov, Sports Director of the IBF, Khachik Melikyan, President of the Backgammon Federation of Armenia, and Mehak Apresyan, President of the Armenian Tourism Federation.
