World Longgammon Championship & Georgian Grand Prix 2026

will be held in Tbilisi, Georgia, from May 28 to June 3, 2026

Venue: Hualing Hotels & Preference, Tbilisi Sea New City, 1.

The governing body is the International Backgammon Federation (IBF)
The competition is organized in cooperation with the Georgian Sports Backgammon Federation

The total guaranteed prize fund for the World Longgammon Championship and the Georgian Grand Prix
is $500,000 after taxes.

The table below shows the guaranteed prize funds, entry fees, and maximum number of participants in each discipline.

Please note that a 20% tax will be withheld from the prize amount in accordance with Georgian legislation.

Tournament Registration Algorithm

1. Tournament registration is only possible upon payment. We accept online payments for events through our website. Filling in all fields is mandatory upon payment!

2. Registration period: from April 23 to May 7, or when the first limit on the number of players is reached (the first stage registration limit column in the table below.).

3. Within 3 business days after payment, your application will be processed and the athlete will be registered for a specific tournament discipline in the information system.
Registration data is updated every three days to reflect new payments. Athletes are responsible for checking their registration in the system!

4. Once any one limit is reached, we close online payment for this discipline. We then open online registration on the website without payment – an online registration button will appear. By registering, you will be placed on a waiting list. Within three business days, the organizing committee will make a decision and contact selected candidates by email. Candidates will receive an email with a payment link. We will publish lists of these additional selected participants every three days.
